Post High School Planning

At the start of second semester all juniors attend a post high-school planning meeting with their parents. Each counselor presents a portion of this meeting addressing transcript credit review, various post high school options, college search overview, NCAA contact information and SAT/ACT information among other things. Each student is also given what is referred to as the “Red Folder” that has a wealth of information on the above and samples of forms that are required during the college application process. Checklist, forms, and presentations

Starting in the second semester of Junior year and continuing through Senior year, this Post High School Planning Checklist (for YOG 2027) will let you know all the important dates.

Some of the necessary in-house forms you will need to complete as part of this process are explained in this College Forms document. These include the student and parent brag sheets, the "blue sheet" filled out by a teacher, college application letter, and early decision form. You will also need to submit a résumé through Naviance.
